An easement was placed on the Squadere property in 1997 as part of a purchase agreement with the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society. The sloping land is mostly forested, with open areas and small ponds in the lower section. Containing 83 acres, the property also has a single family residence. Timber harvesting took place in 2009 under an approved forest managment plan as allowed by the easement.
